Preface: The most troublesome sudden failure in a hot rolling production line is the unregulated deviation of the rolled steel.  In the mild case, the plate surface will be stretched on one side, resulting in a sickle-...

Rolling mill deviates, steel strip is unstable? Identify the cause and adjust it once and for all.

2026-05-15

The most troublesome problem in the steel rolling workshop: The steel strip keeps deviating left and right while moving, constantly swaying and shaking. It sometimes scrapes the edges, forms waves, and has unstable width. It al...

Steel rolling is far from being as simple as "flattening" the steel! There are many professional nuances involved, and many people have misunderstood this.

Many laypeople, even those who are just starting out in this field, have a misconception: they think that steel rolling is simply putting the steel billet into the rolling machine and relying on the rollers to forcefully squeez...

Speed-up of the rolling line must-read: Why is the higher the speed, the greater the requirements for the rolls, bearings and lubrication?

2026-05-15

Introduction In steel production, "increasing speed and improving efficiency" is an eternal pursuit. From the initial 10m/s to the current 120m/s of high-line rolling mills, each breakthrough in rolling speed has ...
